Residential Organizing & Cleaning Services

"helping you simplify your life"

As owner of Simplicity By Design, I have been helping individuals and families simplify their lives for over 13 years. Originally, the business was intended to help clients keep their homes clean but, as I began working closely with them, they realized they could use more than a clean home. They needed someone they could trust and work with to help them manage other areas of their living space, so I began to serve my clients in the following capacity:

  • organizing various areas of the home
  • preserving collections and memorabilia
  • home management while clients were away
  • grocery shopping, laundry, running errands, and gift wrapping
  • event planning and assistance with catering /cooking
  • gardening and pet care

These services have required the utmost sensitivity to client confidentiality accompanied by respect for their belongings, pets, and children while staying focused on fulfilling the client's needs. Through the process of home organization, I have helped many clients reduce their level of stress and opened up time and space for them to enjoy their lives more fully. I am trustworthy, reliable, and sensitive to my client's needs, and I am ready to bring Simplicity By Design into the lives of others.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with an emphasis on nutrition and food service management. Before my cleaning and organizing business, I spent over 12 years in management for several large food service operations in the capacity of administering personnel functions, coordinating special events, and insuring that meals were prepared on time in accordance with quality and health standards

For fun I enjoy cooking, hiking, mountain biking, traveling, attending church and spending time with my husband, dog and cat.

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the National Study Group On Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). I have earned a CD Specialist Certificate, as well as a Certificate of Study in Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client.
